DU Asks PG Applicants to Update Vaccination Status; UG Applicants Exempted, Check Details Here

Delhi University Admission 2021 process for both the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses are underway.

Now, the Delhi University has officially added a new column stating the vaccination status on its admission portal for students who are applying for the PG courses. Under the new column, the students applying for the PG programmes at DU have to mention if they're vaccinated or not.

When asked about this move by the Delhi University, Rajeev Gupta, Chairperson (Admissions), Delhi University, said that the main objective is to create a database, so that once the DU authorities allow the opening of campuses, they'd know the number of people on the campus who are vaccinated. The varsity has informed that the vaccination status of an applicant will not have any implication on his/her admissions. At present, it is applicable to only those students who are applying for PG courses and the DU staffs.

DU First Cut-Off for UG Courses to be Released by October 1

All those students who are applying for UG courses have been exempted considering that they might not have turned 18 and even the government is yet to begin the vaccination for those who are under 18. However, the Undergraduate students will be asked to update their vaccination status whenever the government starts the drive for them, he added.
