Delhi University has scheduled to release the Sports and ECA Quota Lists for admission to its various UG programs on December 2, 2020. This year, trials for sports and ECA quota admission have been scrapped in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
Delhi University will select candidates based on their merit exhibited through participation certificates. Students will be notified of their admission status at the student’s portal. Following this, candidates will be able to submit grievances within the next 3 days’ time.
DU reserves about 5% supernumerary seats under Sports and ECA quota. The Sports Council of the university issued a notice on Thursday, December 26, 2020 that reads:
“A grievance period of three days, from December 3 to December 5, will be given to the applicants to register their grievances (if any). The centralized sports merit list for each sport/ game along with the ranking of applicants for sports quota admissions to UG Courses 2020 will be displayed on the DU UG portal after the redressal of the grievances of the applicants.”

Hence, candidates have to submit grievances to the university through an email and avoid visiting the campus. Students can take admission soon after their grievances are redressed. Earlier on Tuesday, November 26, DU released the marks list for admission on ECA quota.
Explaining the reason behind delay in releasing Sports and ECA quota lists when the academic session began on November 18, Pankaj Sinha, Sports Council Chairperson said, “We have received over 50,000 sports certificates, on the basis of which marks have been allotted. Because of the prevailing pandemic situation, we could not call all our teachers together. They worked in batches.”
