DTE Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2020: Department of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra has released vacant seat list for CAP 2020 Round 2 Polytechnic Admission on December 23, 2020. The option form for CAP Round 2 will be available from December 24- 26, 2020 in the official website.
Earlier, DTE Maharashtra released Maharashtra Polytechnic final merit list on December 12, following which CAP Round-1 commenced on the same day. Candidates were allowed to register for Round-1 till December 14.
As of now, the official notification on DTE Maharashtra reads:
“Seat Acceptance for CAP Round II is extended till 02-01-2021 up to 4.00 pm. Seat Acceptance & Institute Reporting Activity for CAP Round II is in progress. Complete your Institute Reporting within scheduled time &. Secure your admission in CAP.” |
DTE conducts Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for candidates who wish to apply for admission in Diploma courses offered by the Government Aided, Government, University Managed, University departments, and Unaided private professional educational institutions (Minority Institutions) across the state.
State Cell conducts Polytechnic Admission for admission to 3-years diploma engineering programs in Engineering Colleges in Maharashtra offering Diploma Engineering programs.
As of now, after publishing CAP 1st round seat vacancy list, the remaining seats will be rolled over to the 2nd round of CAP.

- On the homepage, under Seat Matrix and Cut Off Lists of CAP Round for Current Year 2020-21 tab, click CAP Round-II Vacant Seat List link.
- A PDF will be displayed on the screen.
- Download it for future reference.

Only those candidates who have submitted the option for Round 2 will be allotted seats in the participating colleges. Candidates need to change their option from ‘Not Freeze’ to their preferred vacant seats in the colleges in the online portal.
CAP Round 2 is the last round for admission, candidates who do not secure admission in this round will not be able to participate in further rounds. Candidates are advised to submit their responses before December 26, 2020.
