Dnyanvardhini Divyang Training College for B.Ed in Special Education Inaugurated by Goa Chief Minister; Read Full Story


Chief minister of Goa, Mr. Pramod Sawant has inaugurated Dnyanvardhini Divyang Training College at Sanjay Centre for Special Children on December 4, 2020.

Dnyanvardhini Divyang Training College offers a Bachelor of Education degree in Special Education specialization for specially-abled children.

At the inaugural event, Sawant stated, “It gave me immense pleasure to inaugurate Dnyanvardhini Divyang Training College which shall provide a B.Ed degree in special education for specially-abled children. This is our government’s step towards empowerment of the divyang.”

Sawant shared his happiness stating that both Diploma in Education (D.Ed) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) courses were commenced for the specially-abled children in his tenure.

The Goa Government stated that B.Ed in Special Education is a 2-year program affiliated to Goa University and the program was approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India.

In the 12 talukas of Goa, 10 days special camp was organized for the specially abled children by the Goa Government in collaboration with the central government.

In order to get admission in the B.Ed Special Education program, candidates need to apply from the official website of Goa DHE - @dhe.goa.gov.in

The government of Goa will be conducting the entrance examination and candidates who have already applied should appear for the entrance examination.

After the successful completion of the entrance examination, the Goa DHE releases the merit list on its official website. The merit list is prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance examination.

Candidates whose name appeared in the merit list should proceed further with the admission process which consists of fee payment and document verification process.

The minimum eligibility criteria is that candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
