Further, Delhi University (DU) has planned to establish colleges and academic departments at these university lands in Roshanpura Village (Najafgarh), and Bawana.

According to a DU statement, the facilitation centers will aid students of rural and far-off areas by providing them marksheets, migration and other documents at their nearest locations and inquiry counters to assist them about the university matters.

It was mentioned in the statement that these new facilitation centers will be helpful in saving time and energy of the students who had to earlier travel to the North and South campus of DU. Further, the new centers are a part of “University at your door” an initiative of DU.

Recently in August 2021, Delhi University declared that it will set up a new college and facilitation centers at Fatehpur Beri, and the foundation stone for the same was laid by the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan.

As per the statement, the facilitation centers will enable the DU students living in and around Bhatti Kalan Gaon to complete several administrative processes, namely admission, examination, etc without the difficulty of travelling long distances.

Although the name of the newly established college has not yet been decided, the DU registrar Vikas Gupta had notified in a press conference that the university plans to name the new college in the memory of the first woman Chief Minister, Sushma Swaraj.
