The varsity has offered the facility to either take DU Open Book Exam 2021 through the physical mode, i.e, from the college or remotely (from the convenience of their home) by using ICT-based facilities.
As per the DU Open Book Exam 2021 official guidelines, students who have opted for the physical mode to write the open book exams will now have the chance of writing the exams through remote mode but not vice versa.
Keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic situation, all the necessary infrastructure will be provided to the students by their respective colleges in compliance with the MHA and UGC guidelines.
The varsity has instructed the colleges to provide the students with the facility of taking the open book exams (OBE) through the physical mode.
Further, the students will have to bring their own A4 size sheets and they will have to complete the exams within a duration of 4 hours. However, an additional one hour will be allotted for scanning the answer scripts in the PDF/JPEG format and uploading it on the portal.
In contrast, the differently-abled students will be given six hours to complete the examination and upload it on the portal. However, if any student faces technical issues while uploading their answer scripts, they are allowed to submit the answer scripts beyond the prescribed time with documented evidence for which an additional hour will be allocated.
As per the DU exam day instructions, if the students delay in submitting the answer scripts, it will be directly sent to the review committee who will then evaluate the results accordingly. It should be noted that the delayed submission of answer scripts might cause delays in the results.
