Delhi University Admission 2021: As per the latest CBSE Class 12th Result 2021 released on July 30, 2021, over 70,000 class 12th students have scored over 95%, which will impact in higher cut-off release for Delhi University Admission 2021.
In DU Admission 2021, over 70,000 undergraduate seats will be on offer to eligible and interested students. Equating to the number of students who have secured over 95% in CBSE Class 12th Result 2021, the cut-offs are expected to go higher than expected.
On average, it is to be noted that around 70 percent of students who are offered admission seats in various Delhi University programs each year are usually from CBSE Board.
In 2020, for Lady Shri Ram College Admission 2021, the college has released its cut-off of 100 percent for three program admission seats. While for 30 UG and PG programs offered by the college, a cut-off of over 99 percent was released by the exam authority.
As per the official statement, it is to be expected that the cut-off release for many Delhi University Undergraduate and postgraduate programs will go up to 100 percent in 2021 as well.
Adding to the same, DU’s Admission 2021 Committee chairperson Rajeev Gupta said, “From whatever information we are getting right now, it appears that the cut-offs will increase".
"But more can be said once the results have been properly analyzed. The colleges will now have to analyze and decide. We are also waiting for the remaining state boards to release their results, after which we will have more clarity" he further added.

He further added that Delhi University is expected to release the first cut-off for UG and PG program admission 2021 from September 08 to September 10, 2021, for all interested and eligible students to check and download.
Referring to the same, Hindu College Principal Anju Srivastava said, “If there is such a large number of students who’ve got 95% and above, the campus colleges are all likely to be entangled in catering to these students".
She added that the Hindu College Admission 2021 cut-offs for less demanding courses are also expected to go higher than usual since the admission seats are very limited. With the release of CBSE and other boards’ results, we are expecting a high number of registration for all courses.
Ramjas College Principal Manoj Khanna added that “Definitely the cut-off will be higher since the number of 95% scorers is higher. But the real question is how many students have scored 99% and above. If there are thousands above that, then we will have to take many precautions".
Adding to his concerns, he added that since Delhi University offers a first come first serve basis admission process, the affiliated colleges will have to offer admission seats to those who have cleared the cut-offs for Ramjas College Admission 2021.
As for Miranda House College, Principal Bijayalaxmi Nanda said that while comparing the cut-offs of all year, DU has already released a cut of 100%, which is the highest. Therefore, we can not expect much higher than last year.
“I expect it to be slightly calibrated. But we also have to wait for other state board results. DU does not go by simply the CBSE board results” Principal Bijayalaxmi Nanda added.
