Sisodia, who is also Delhi's education minister, said that the admission procedure of the university will be such that the DSEU officials will personally go to the schools to enroll the children who are willing to take up the skill learning.

Further, DSEU will be the first university across India to admit the students based on their overall interests, talent, and mindset for entrepreneurship. Thus, DSEU will focus on conducting a 360-degree assessment. However, other universities will continue to admit the students based on the grade lists, he added.

Sisodia also stated that the university will cater to all the children who are willing to take up the skill development and entrepreneurship courses. DSEU will add immense value to the market and create a pool of individuals who will not only be the job seekers, but also the job providers.

DSEU will also provide the provision of internship and apprenticeships in different industries 50 per cent of the time. If a student prefers studying tourism, then they can be attached to a tourism company. DSEU will surely provide a sense of security, confidence and dignity, he added.

Earlier in 2019, the Delhi government had introduced an entrepreneurship mindset curriculum in state-run schools for the students of classes 9-12.
