As per the recent update, the state government of Delhi released orders to reopen medical colleges under the UT government with immediate effect.
The decision to reopen Delhi medical colleges is taken considering a subsequent reduction in the number of COVID-19 cases in the national capital and risk evaluation of the current situation.

The government has decided to reopen the medical colleges while following the social distancing norms and SOPs released by the health ministry in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Based on the media reports, the Delhi government stated, “In the first instance the first year MBBS/BDS batch will be called in a staggered manner. Teaching and practical will be completed within one and a half to two months from the date of re-opening of college. Subsequently, final year students will be allowed to join college.”
While discussing reopening of the colleges for the final students, the government informed that final year students will be eligible to take final year annual exams on successful training. After qualifying the exams, they will be eligible to join as interns.
Following that, the process will begin for allowing second-year MBBS/BDS students to attend colleges in physical mode.
Apart from this, Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is most likely to release the exam dates for NEET 2021 by the end of January 2021.
