DA-IICT M.Des Admission 2022 Open; Last Date to Apply is May 30, 2022

New Delhi: DA-IICT M.Des (Communication Design) Admission 2022 has begun the application process for 2022 session. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal,https://www.daiict.ac.in/. 

DA-IICT offers an M.Des course in Communication Design. Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till May 30, 2022.

DA-IICT M.Des Admission 2022: Highlights 

The M.Des (Communication Design) is a 2-year post-graduate degree programme (four semesters) with specialities in Visual Communication Design and Interaction Design. This unique multidisciplinary curriculum prepares students for jobs in Graphic Design, User Experience/Interface Design, Filmmaking, Animation, Photography, Design Research, and Teaching. 

The curriculum combines Design principles, skills, and practises with aspects from Sociology, Anthropology, and Cultural Studies. Students are encouraged to comprehend and participate in real-world circumstances, as well as develop critical thinking skills for successful problem-solving. 

Students are required to comprehend Design processes and methodologies, as well as envision and prototype solutions to communication challenges in a variety of social and cultural contexts, at the end of the 2-year programme.

DA-IICT M.Des Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility requirement for admission at DA-IICT for the M.Des course are below:

• UG Degree or equivalent in the fields of Design, Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Performing Arts. 
• Professional Diplomas from NID, NIFT, CEPT and Srishti School of Art and Design will also be considered for admission. 
• 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying degree/exam and provisional Degree certificate or proof of completion of Degree before 30 October 2022

DA-IICT M.Des Admission 2022: Selection Process

The section process of candidates to pursue M.Des course at DA-IICT is given below:

• Candidates who do not have a valid CEED score will be chosen for an interview through a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) through online proctored mode. Candidates with a valid CEED score will be invited to an interview if they completed Part A and got at least 25 marks in Part B. Furthermore, the CEED score of such candidates will be utilised as the DAT score.
• The combined DAT and interview scores will be used to make the final decision.
• The DAT will account for 60% of the total marks allocated to the entrance test, while the interview will account for 40%.
• All candidates must submit their SOP online, in addition to their applications.

• The online application process will lead through the steps of paying the application fee, submitting SOP, registering for DAT, and attending a personal interview round.
• Candidates who have accepted admission offers will be advised to complete registration, which will be followed by counselling, document verification, fee payment, and, upon admission confirmation, the orientation programme.
• The official website will be updated with the final merit list of confirmed and wait-list candidates based on the entrance exam and interview results. 
• The Admission Committee will send the offer letter for admission to candidates by post or email.
• In the case of a tie, years of experience, marks in the 10+2 and 10th exam, or age will be used to break the tie.
