- Visit the official website of CSIR IIP Ph.D. Admission 2021 @acsir.res.in
- If applying for the first time click on the Flashing “New User Signup” Button and register yourself else if already registered log in with your Email, Password and Course
- After logging in, enter your details as required and mention the session applying for carefully.
- Wait for a confirmation email to be sent at your registered email ID and phone number. If no mail is received, check your spam folder or contact the CSIR IIP Admission Desk.

CSIR IIP Ph.D. Admission 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. (Sciences) and Sponsored Ph.D. (Sciences)
Ph.D. (Sciences):
Applicants must have a Master's degree in Science or an equivalent. The candidate must hold a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF from various funding agencies such as CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, and so on) or any other equivalent fellowship such as INSPIRE, RGNF, and so on.
CSIR Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows, Group-IV Scientists, and Group-III Technical Staff may also apply (as per relevant AcSIR rules).
Sponsored Ph.D. (Sciences):
Candidates with a Master's degree in Science or an equivalent are eligible to apply for required academic leave and financial support during the programme with endorsement from Industry, Academic, or Research Institutes.
Applicants wishing to qualify their degree in percentage must use the formula CGPA=(Percentage + 5)/10. Applicants with a percentage of 95 percent must fill out a CGPA of 10 in the Online Application Form.
Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. (Engineering) and Sponsored Ph.D. (Engineering)
- A Master's degree in Engineering or Technology earned after completing a four-year engineering/technology or four-year science degree; or an integrated minimum five-year M Tech degree; or an equivalent.
AND
- At least one of the following is required:
- A national-level fellowship (such as NET JRF) obtainable at CSIR institutes.
- Meeting all of the eligibility requirements for the CSIR-SRF
- Fulfilling all of the requirements for the INSPIRE fellowship (typically awarded to students ranked first in the University)
- Meeting all of the AcSIR requirements for Project Assistants to register for a Ph.D.
- Meeting all of AcSIR's requirements for industry-sponsored* students.
- CSIR Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows, Group-IV Scientists, and Group-III Technical Staff may also apply (as per relevant AcSIR rules)
Eligibility criteria for IDDP (Integrated M.Tech-Ph.D) Program
- A four-year undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science (such as BE/BTech/BS), or an equivalent five-year degree in Science (such as MSc).
AND
- At least one of the following is required:
- A national-level fellowship (such as NET JRF) obtainable at CSIR institutes.
- Meeting all of the eligibility requirements for the CSIR-GATE-JRF
- Fulfilling all of the requirements for the INSPIRE fellowship (typically awarded to students ranked first in the University)
- Meeting all of the AcSIR requirements for Project Assistants to register for a Ph.D.
- Meeting all of AcSIR's requirements for industry-sponsored* students.
- CSIR Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows, Group-IV Scientists, and Group-III Technical Staff may also apply (as per relevant AcSIR rules).
- * with industry, academic, or research institute approval for required academic leave and financial support during programme.
