In a press release made by the Directorate of Public Relations, it was announced that the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Mr Bhupesh Baghel will distribute education incentives to children of Tendupatta collectors on November 19.
The scheme will provide for direct money transfer to the bank account of talented children. More than 4000 meritorious students will benefit from this scheme. A total of INR 85302000 will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiary to stop any embezzlement of funds by the middleman.

This is being provided under the Education Promotion Scheme and Meritorious Students Incentive Scheme both of which are run by the Forest department of the state. The incentives will be distributed by the CM in a virtual online program which will be held on November 19 at his residence office.
These schemes will be provided to students who secure more than 75% marks in class 10 and class 12 exams during the current academic year. Students who secure marks over the cut off will be provided remunerations according to their class of study.
Under the Education Promotion Scheme, more than 84000000 will be provided. While the 10th class students will be given INR 15000 in incentives, the students of class 12 will get INR 25000. Similarly, a total of around 750000 will be distributed under the Meritorious Students Incentive Scheme for the current academic year.
Other Institutes & States Following Lead
With increasing focus on the underprivileged many other states and institutes have released or started programs for the upliftment of the poor. Another such case comes from the premier institutes of India- IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi.
Both the Institutes have launched scholarship programs for the poorer section of the society and as per reports, IIT Delhi has established a 10 year-long scholarship program for the underprivileged people. Following the leads of the foremost institutes of India, IIM Ahmedabad has also launched a program to help underprivileged students. The institute has planned to conduct a one-time virtual tour of the whole campus. The IIM has named the social initiative Prayass and they aim to raise enough funds to fully educate at least 80 students.
