CBSE to Introduce Two Levels for English and Sanskrit Examination from 2021-22 Academic Session; Read Details Here


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will initiate the English and Sanskrit examination at two levels from the academic session 2021-22. 

The Ministry of Education has released an official statement regarding this decision to conduct English and Sanskrit examination on two levels. CBSE already conducts Mathematics and Hindi examination for class 10 at two levels. 

A major feature of the NEP 2020 is education reforms. The statement issued by the education ministry has stated that the department of school education and literacy has already taken some steps to implement the National Education Policy.

The official statement reads, “CBSE will introduce improvement examination from the year 2021 and will introduce English and Sanskrit at two levels from the session 2021-22.”

Previously, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had announced the commencement of the CBSE Board Exam 2021 from May 24, 2021. The CBSE Board has not yet officially released the complete date sheet.

The competency-based questions will increase in CBSE Board Exam Question Paper in the upcoming years in addition to introducing two levels in some subjects, the statement said. 

The Ministry’s statement stated that for all the classes till secondary level (Class 9 and 10), the learning outcomes have been defined and the draft of learning outcomes for senior secondary level has been released for inviting suggestions.
