CBSE Exams: Class 10, 12 Board Exams Likely to be Held in Feb-March, 2021; Check Details Here


Controller of Examination (CoE) of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the board exams for classes 10 and 12 will likely be held in the month Feb-March 2021. 

The CoE of CBSE, Sanyam Bhardwaj also shared some information regarding their future strategies to hold the upcoming exam. CBSE had previously announced the reduction of the syllabus and an increase in the number of MCQs in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

CBSE Exams: On Online Exams

As the date of board examination comes closer, wild rumors have started circulating the internet. Prominent among these rumors is the one that board exams will be held in online mode for the year 2021.

Dismissing all such rumors, Mr. Bhardwaj said that the exams will not be held in an online or computer-based mode. He further reiterated that the exams will only be conducted in the offline, pen, and paper-based mode of examination.

Declining to comment on the dates of the exam, Mr. Bhardwaj said that the board was currently discussing ways to hold the exams. He said that talks with stakeholders were going on to ensure smooth conduct of the exam.

CBSE Exams: Exam Dates

While Mr.Bhardwaj declined to comment on the dates, he assured the students that the board has no plans to delay the examination. He further said that the exams will probably be held during their usual window of Feb-March, 2021. 

According to him, the board successfully completed the compartment exams, and based on that the board will manage to hold offline exams.

CBSE Exams: Practical Exams

Mr.Bhardwaj expressed his hopes that the schools will be able to re-open soon as this will give the students the time to prepare. In addition, the reopening of schools will also help in conducting practical exams. 

Usually, schools are given a time period of 1.5 months to hold practical exams. However, this period is likely to be extended to 2 months for this session working to the pandemic.
