CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Cancelled, Evaluation Criteria for Result to be released soon


CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations 2021 have been officially canceled. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi chaired a meeting today, on June 1, 2021 to discuss the prospect of CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021. 

It was earlier notified that the government will announce their final decision on the CBSE Class 12th Board exams 2021 once the meeting is successfully done with the PM today. The high-profile meeting included the Union Ministers including the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, Finance Minister, and other ministers along with the Secretary of School Education and Higher Education. 

Now, after deciding on the much-awaited issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the health and safety of the students are most important and there would be no compromise on this aspect. 

Further, he added that the anxiety among the students and parents regarding the Class 12th board exams 2021 should be put to an end and the students shouldn't be forced to appear for exams in these uncertain times. All the stakeholders must show sensitivity to the students.

Regarding the evaluation criteria, the decision has to be finalized yet. The board would take the necessary steps to compile the results in an objective and time-bound manner. Moreover, if any student is willing to appear for the exams, then the CBSE would ensure to conduct the board exams at a scheduled later when the pandemic covid-19 situation normalizes.

In the national consultation on May 23, the central government presented the idea of two options to conduct CBSE Class 12 Exam 2021, under which option A mentioned that the exam will be held for 19 main subjects and the option B was to conduct one and a half hour exam in respective home centers. To which 32 states were ready to conduct the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams.

But the high-profile meeting held today has stated the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021 due to the current scenario of the pandemic. The hearing of the petition regarding the cancellation of the board exams will be conducted on June 3 where the Central government will present its decision before the court.

After the recent announcement, the students and parents are relieved from the anxiety which was prevailing for the last few days. Now the students await the evaluation criteria for the CBSE Board Exam 2021 which is said to be announced soon.
