CBSE 12th Result 2021 to be Out by July 31; Check CBSE, CISCE Assessment Criteria Here


CBSE 12th Result 2021: On June 17, 2021, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 12 Member Committee finalized the CBSE 12th Result 2021 Assessment Criteria in the Supreme Court. The result for all candidates to check will be released latest by July 31, 2021.

As per the finalized assessment criteria, class 12th marks will be calculated based on Class 12th pre-board scores, class 10th final marks, and class 11th marks. The final marks will be considered in the 40:30:30 ratio respectively.

After finalizing the CBSE 12th Result 2021 Marks, the same will be released for all candidates to check on the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on or before July 2021 end.

CBSE 12th Result 2021: Assessment Criteria Highlights

Due to the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12th Board Examination, the result for students will be evaluated based on students’ performance in class 10th, 11th final examination, and class 12th pre-board examination. 

  • Class 12th marks based on unit test, midterm, and final examination conducted by the schools will be considered for 40% result assessment.
  • Students Class 11th marks on the final theoretical examination will be considered for 30% evaluation. 
  • For the remaining 30% percent, students’ performance in the final examination will be a factor for result evaluation. The marks based on the average theory component of the best three performing subjects out of a total of 5 main subjects will be added. 

For evaluating marks for class 12th students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will consider Class 10th Board Exam marks on the following factors: 

  • The three highest marks out of five subjects in Class 10 will be considered.
  • The average of three subjects will be applicable for Class 12th theoretical subjects.
  • Average marks of students who appeared for the Class 10th exam will be provided by CBSE.
  • For students who appeared for the Class 10 exam on another board, schools will have to compute the averages based on the mark sheets submitted by students. 

ISC 12th Result 2021: Assessment Criteria Highlights

As per CISCE's formula to evaluate ISC Class 12th Board Exam 2021 results, the board will consider the performance of students from 2015 till 2020, and the marks of the students will be calculated on the following basis: 

  • Marks in ICSE 10th board exams.
  • Project, practical work in subjects.
  • Best marks obtained in school exams in Classes 11 and 12.
  • Best performance of the school itself in the last 6 years.

Apart from the CBSE Class 12th Result 2021 criteria, the Supreme Court has also discussed the result evaluation criteria for various state boards. 

The Supreme Court board has demanded all boards to follow the same result evaluation criteria, however, several state boards are still in the favour of conducting examinations for all students.
