What keeps you connected with the Education Sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?
“My passion for teaching and interaction with students connects me with the education sector”
One of the factors that connects me with the education sector is teaching. I always interact with pupils and come across several questions that dive deeper into the subject. We organize peer group learning and experimenting with time tested pedagogy. The constant review and guidance from the academic committee of campus created a platform for all teachers.
What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
“To make students better human beings and responsible citizens”
My duty is to bring thoughtful designs for students' growth. We help them to address physical challenges of building construction, structure, services, environment, byelaws, professional practice, software, and representation. My responsibility is to make the student a better human being, and a responsible citizen. They become valuable professionals for society.
Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of the students?
“Provide software training, workshops and projects for students”
Our students work on many hands-on workshops that involve construction of bamboo, wood and brick structures in the construction yard of college. By working on projects, they can understand the nuances of construction and difficulties of the workers on site. We encourage Students for communication and personality development. We ensure participation of student’s council to learn how to organize events and handle people. They get software training from industry experts to know about the market.
How does the curriculum of VESCOA ensure students are being prepared for the future?
“Consider a pedagogical approach on subjects and design curriculum as per industry standards”
Integration with industries is essential in the upcoming future. We undertake the pedagogical approach where all the subjects are integrated. Faculties give student project works related to subjects. Our integrated design and technology solution are modeled using advanced BIM. Students get ideas about related software tools to optimize the design and construction workflow.

We use the state-of-the-art lab facility in college that includes the latest technology of CNC laser cutting. Students get monthly product demonstrations, seminars, exhibitions, study tours, and site visits. They need to participate in competitions such as “Solar decathlon India”. We take up real projects from the research and design consultancy cell of the college as academic projects.
What are the approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to train the students?
“Encourage pupils to become volunteers and work in a group”
We encourage students to work in groups. They need to work in a team and discuss industry terms. We encourage students to become volunteers for social causes such as upliftment of a day care center, relief work for flood affected areas, and awareness drives.
