What are the key factors that keep you connected with your professional sector?

Passion and Interest are the crucial components of success”

To choose the hospitality industry as a career was not only my interest but was also my passion to delight people and make them feel comfortable. Working in the hospitality industry is not a job, it’s a lifestyle. Apart from glamour, the majority of the time it is about hard work and long hours. This industry requires you to give a lot of yourself but then it gives you rewards accordingly. Each day is unique in this industry and that is what makes it so stimulating.

Since your arrival at IHMCS, what has been your vision and how are you trying to achieve it?

“Educate the students about the various aspects of the hospitality industry”

My vision is to educate and inculcate patience in the students of this field and also to provide comprehensive hospitality education in a healthy learning environment. We at IHMCS always try to give our best to nurture the future hotel management professionals for the competitive world by training and giving them short industry experience on a timely basis wherein they learn the new trends of the industry. Whenever a student takes admission to IHMCS, he or she is automatically added to our extended family and we always try to be connected to all of them whenever required even when they have finished their course from our college.

How do Social and Cultural events help the students to gain the necessary skills?

“Working for a common goal and developing a sense of responsibility to sustain in the industry”

I believe Social and cultural activities have the same importance and impact on the students as academic has. These activities increase opportunities for social interaction and new relationship development. As most of these activities are group-oriented which have students from different niches, gives them a chance to know more about people of different cultures. It also increases the level of confidence and teaches them how to co-operate and work with people in different conditions. Sustained involvement of the students in more than one activity reflects their talent and potential.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your Institute?

“Fostering an environment of positive social interaction in students & faculty”

I have experienced that a positive relationship with the students helps them to get connected to us and the institute. Nurturing an environment of trust and support is essential. Building these relationships requires perspectives that embrace positive attitudes and beliefs, cultural and linguistic competence, and understanding of the needs and experiences of students and the College environment. We also try to be available for counseling whether it be academics or personal.

What do you see as the institute’s greatest strengths?

A dedicated group of faculty working towards the overall growth of students”

The positive dynamic approach for achieving academic Excellence, Interpersonal Relationships, and Leadership Development are a few of the core strengths. This approach helps to improve personal productivity, self-confidence, and teamwork within us. For this purpose, we regularly arrange training, workshops, and sessions for both.
