Dr. Surendra Verma is working as the Principal at SRI PARASHURAM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH, Khandwa. With a Ph.D. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, he has served at various engineering colleges and has published research articles in many reputed International journals. He is the editor of many international journals and reviews many articles for reputed journals as well. He is a Life member of ISTE Chapter, and has guided many BE, B.Tech and M.Tech students for their project works and dissertations.

How do you strategize the key plans for the marketing of your institute?

“Data-oriented, focused and realistic approaches”

We deploy the best marketing and advertising strategy for the institute keeping in mind the point of quality above all. We focus on simple, clear, straight-forward and small numbers of high impact objectives and processes that are financially projected and carefully measured. Expected results should be finance-oriented and everyone in the team must be aware of these financial objectives. Also, marketing plans must be specific and uni-directional. All stakeholders should be on the same page, pursuing the same objectives for the same reasons. Management is about creating agreement, not delegating tasks. As a result, the marketing plan should be developed with input from everyone involved. 

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?

“Comprehensive development in wider aspects”

In our institute, we not only focus on studies and academic excellence, but we enhance the inner qualities of the students as well. We believe that a student must be educated in every aspect to deal perfectly with outer world challenges. What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the institute are?

“Efficient management, leadership and development”

As a principal of the institution, my core responsibility is to manage all the staff and students for successful administration and learning. I provide quality leadership, direction and coordination within the college to achieve great success in the field. My main focus is to develop and maintain effective education programs within the institution, and promote the improvement of teaching and learning process as a whole.

What do you see as your institute’s greatest strengths?

“Expert team”

Our greatest strengths are all the staff and our good management team who have been working hard to make our college one of the leading institutions in Khandwa. Our institution is affiliated with all three Govt. universities – DAVV Indore (MP), RGPV Bhopal (MP), NCVT Delhi- in the region. We follow all guidelines of AICTE New Delhi and offer best possible practices to make students capable and future ready. 

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“Proper management of academic activities”

The major challenge is to manage all activities of the college, especially during these pandemic times as most of the students are not coming to college and hence their education is slowed down a bit. Also, the challenge is to convince them for admission as they have to do it online due to this pandemic. The entire education system is facing so many problems in announcing results, admissions and conducting classes of different students of different streams. It is very difficult to manage the system properly.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Keep trying your best always”

Youths today must not let negative situations and results depress or influence them from their goals. Remember, failure means you can succeed. So try your best and keep working hard to achieve your goals.
