Chancellor of Neotia University conferred with the Degree of Doctor of Literature

12^th March 2018, Kolkata: On the 20^th Convocation ceremony of The Neotia University, its Chancellor, Shri Harshavardhan Neotia has been conferred with the Degree of Doctor of Literature by the Vidyasagra University. He was honored by the Vice Chancellor of Vidyasagar University, Mr. Ranjan Chakrabarti.

For his extraordinary initiative in Social Housing in 1999, Mr. Neotia was conferred with 'Padma Shri'. Apart from this, he was also honored with YPO Legacy of Honour Award in 2005.

Mr. Neotia’s Ambuja Neotia Group, which is operating through several companies, covers the entire spectrum of the real estate industry which includes housing, hospitality, education and healthcare. Serving as the Honorary Consulate of Israel in Kolkata, Mr. Neotia has also held other esteemed positions like ex-President of FICCI, Senior Vice President of AIMA, a member of IIM, Shillong, the Chairman of National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research and Chancellor of The Neotia University.

“It’s a matter of great pride and honour to have been felicitated with such a prestigious degree. I am thankful to his Excellency the Governor of West Bengal and the Hon’ble Chancellor and the court of the University for their support and good wishes. I am conscious that with this recognition comes added responsibility and I do hope to live up to the expectations created”, said Mr. Neotia expressing his gratitude on receiving the award.
