Mr. Sumit Yadav has been working as the Head of Department at City Group of Colleges, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Before joining CGC, he worked as an Assistant Manager in a private organization for 2 years. He has done B. Tech in Computer Science, MBA in Finance and Information Technology and is currently pursuing his PhD Degree. He has also qualified UGC-NET and has completed Diploma in Computer Application and Microsoft Office. In addition to this, he has presented 2 research papers in national level seminars and has also organised workshops and seminars on career preparation, interview skills and job search techniques. When I joined this college, my objective was to provide the finest quality education to empower them with all the knowledge and skills which are in demand in the market today. In addition to this, my aim was to promote the culture of Excellence, Diversity, Collaboration and Lifelong learning.

I strongly believe that Leaders must have a vision and they should articulate it clearly to his team. And true leadership facilitates discussion and collaboration as true leaders maintain transparency in everything they do, provide equal opportunities to foster growth of team members, acknowledge their mistakes as well keep improving their skills, communicate in a timely manner and listen to the concerns and ideas of the group. How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practices of industry?

We design and update our curriculum after rigorous analysis of industrial demands and consultation with experts. Hence we can say that the curriculum is a perfect blend of skills and innovation in the form of new programs, which students need to have to work in the corporate world. For the purpose of maintaining a healthy relationship with everyone, I start interacting with my students from the first day of their course and my basic objective behind this is to instill a culture of trust and respectful communication in college. Also, I use humor as and when required while talking to them, because you can't be strict with them 24*7. Last but not the least, I teach them with enthusiasm and passion, address their academic and personal issues on an individual basis and provide them an ambiance where they can put forward their ideas and decisions without hesitation.
