How do you strategize about the key programs and plan for the marketing and administration of your department?
“I make sure to inculcate practical learning experiences”
Being HOD, I strategize the B.Tech Program by emphasizing on Advanced Technology & practical implementation of subjects in the laboratory rather than theory. Since all of our labs are project-oriented, we try to do good projects in the lab that are presentable & helpful to the students for understanding the basics of the theory.
Department’s staff builds good healthy relationships with Student’s Parents through a personal tutor system. Also, we develop a strong relationship with the esteemed Alumni for the purpose to make interaction programs, industrial visits, training & internships for current students.
How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make it befitting for the students?
“We bring in best practices to give relevant exposure to the students”
The curriculum is not static. The department reviews it every year to meet the current needs of the Industry, PSUs etc. and therefore develop industry oriented curriculum. We take Guidance/feedback from Industry personals, Academicians, Alumni, students etc. for updating curriculum regularly at the university level. We offer a Choice Credit Based system under which students can choose their pace of learning and specialization apart from his/her registered program.
What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which will help them to gain necessary skills?
“There are various strategies which help students to grow in all segments”
We use best practices for the overall growth of students in terms of enhancing technical knowledge, practical exposure & personality development by organizing Mock interviews for final year students, industrial visits, Expert Lectures, Industrial Visits, Seminars, Conferences, Workshops & outsourcing training programs, interaction with industry persons.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your University?
“We ensure our students are on the track of becoming a good citizen”
University that doesn’t stress upon just Academics; but believes in making every student feel like a home environment with having its Personal Tutor Program. Personal Tutor helps the students to resolve their administrative /Academic Problems and ensure the student-Industrial Mentor interaction. They regularly keep in touch with parents via parent-teacher meetings or calls to make the student successful and a good citizen.
What suggestions would you like to give to the current students, who want to pursue their careers in mechanical or civil engineering?
“Study to learn”
Do study Engineering course for knowledge but not for CGPA. If you get an experience of acquiring knowledge, automatically you will get a good CGPA. Always become creative and innovative in the industrial revolution of 4.0 and think beyond it for developing new technologies.
