XLRI Online Courses Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria for all the Online PGDBM, PGDF and PGDHRM Programs are as follow:
- The minimum prerequisite for all the online courses at XLRI is a bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate mark of 50% from a recognized University/Institution.
- The aspirants in their final year of graduate examination are also eligible to apply for the XLRI Online Courses.
- Such final year candidates should submit all the necessary certificates for final completion by October 31, 2022
- Candidates with relevant work experience shall be given preference.
The students should meet the following necessary eligibility requirements to be eligible to apply for the PGCBM (VIL) Programme:
- A candidate must have completed minimum Graduation (10+2+3) from a UGC approved university/ institute

The course fee for the Online PGDBM, PGDF and PGDHRM Programs is INR14 lakhs. The course fees for all the online courses at XLRI have to be paid over 4 installments as follows:

The course fees include the cost of textbooks, reading materials, library resources, accommodation and boarding during the two mandatory campus immersion programs but exclude the travel and related costs.
The total course fees of the XLRI PGCBM (VIL) Programme is INR 3,20,000/ + GST while the Application Fee for the programme is INR 10,000 which is Non-Refundable. Study material and boarding & lodging at XLRI Jamshedpur are included in the total PGCBM course fees. XLRI Online Courses Programme Structure
XLRI Online Courses Course Plan mainly comprises foundation and advanced level courses in form of the summer internship, workshops sessions from industry thought leaders, valuation modules, Capstone Project and simulation-based trading etc. The main outlines of the various online courses are mentioned below:
PGDBM Course Plan
Term IV comprises four courses including Business Research Methods, Corporate Ethics, Corporate Sustainability and Operations Research. Participants may enroll for 60 hours of electives. During term V and term VI participants are required to enroll for 120 hours each of electives based on parameters prescribed in the course plan.
PGDF Course Structure
The PGDF program includes foundation & advanced level courses in the finance as well as some allied courses, including a capstone project. The foundation level courses are included in the first two terms with ten courses involving corporate finance, accounting, quantitative techniques, economics, communication techniques and financial markets. Additionally, some skill building courses like financial modeling with excel & R, financial research methods and data science & machine learning are also incorporated.
PGDHRM Course Plan
The XLRI PGDHRM course structure includes 747 hours of basic and advanced courses across term one to six. Participants are required to visit XLRI for two campus immersion experiences of five days during term I & term VI to interact with the peer group, faculty members, batchmates etc. during the course of study.
Apart from these 747 hours, participants need to spend 210 hours at group level to attend Flexible Interactive Hours (FIH) to fulfil class assignments and activities, experiential exercises, simulations, application exercises, solving a case in groups, working on a project etc. according to the course outline. PGDHRM Program also provides 288 hours of scheduled tutorial hours spread across the year to give support to the needy ones on a continuous basis.
Additionally, 1245 hours structured and delivered form XLRI, participants invest 1155 hours as Indicative Self Learning Hours which includes pre-readings, individual exercises, assignments & individual reflections, self-assessment, e-texts, etc. across all courses depending on participant’s strengths and weaknesses.
