Dr. Anukool Hyde is serving as the HOD at PIMR, Indore. He joined the Institute on August 08, 2007 as a reader. Seven research scholars have done Ph.D. under him. He has more than 21 years of teaching experience and has industrial experience in Personnel Department. He has been awarded “Best Teacher” by PIMR in International Conference held in 2009.
His areas of interest include Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Relations and Labour Laws, Organisation Behaviour. He was organizing Secretary for Second International Conference 08 at PIMR. He was Coordinator for National Research Methodology and National Case Writing Workshops at PIMR. like VISION, XLRI etc. and Conference books.
Dr. Hyde’s manuals on Emotional Intelligence Scale and Organisation Commitment have been published. He has attended FDPs which were sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi. He has conducted Personality Development sessions, Mock Interviews for CA and Management Students. He has conducted sessions for Platoon Commanders at Rustamji Armed Police Training College, Indore, NGO and various organizations. He is an Editorial member for many reputed journals.
Dr. Hyde’s experience in the education industry
The education industry has grown rapidly in the last few years. Earlier there were less Management Institutes and students were not having much inclination towards MBA course but in last few years students are very much interested in taking admission in MBA course.
Dr. Hyde on how he ensures that outstanding teaching and learning practices are embedded across his department
Regular conduction of classes is important and at the same time, it is important that quality teaching is done to ensure students’ learning and employability. Latest tools for teaching are adopted by us to give best to the students to gain knowledge in HR and General Management.
Teaching philosophy of Dr. Hyde
I served Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management and Research for 11.5 years. I have been reaching class on time and always tried to give my best to the students in terms of contents and used case teaching, games and role play to make them understand the concepts of HR.

Dr. Anukool on how industry experience helped him understand the needs of the education industry
As I served Plethico Pharmaceutical Ltd., Indore, I feel that industry experience helps in sharing practical experience with students which gives them exposure to the industry. It helps in solving problems related to HR, labor laws, etc.
Changes made to make sure the students are well-versed with the best industry practices
Curriculum related to HR and General Management have been revamped looking to the needs of industry. Experts opinion is taken to improve syllabus on a regular basis.
Growth of students through placement opportunities available at PIMR, Indore
Placement scenario is good at the institute. A large number of students are placed in good organizations with an attractive package. Institute is always striving in grooming students to get placed in big brands.

Major challenges faced by Dr. Hyde
The biggest challenge in last few years was students’ communication in English. Many students belong to a rural sector near Indore and having Hindi medium as a language of instruction which is always a hindrance in students learning and placements.

I have stressed on Case teaching and Management games to strengthen effective teaching. I have always conveyed in the forum to use this teaching methodology.
Strategies in your mind for the department of HR and General Management for the next 3 years
Expert opinion from industry and academia will be taken to strengthen curriculum looking to the needs of industry which will help students’ placements. Department is already working on improving students’ communication. More activities will be introduced to strengthen students’ communication.
Message for the youth who aspire to be young leaders
Youth inspiring for Management course should improve communication before joining Management Institute. It is also expected that youth should change its orientation and thinking as Management education requires reading habit of books and newspaper.
