Mr. Sarat Chandra is a Vice-Principal and Assistant Professor at the Eastern Academy of Science & Technology. He has teaching experience in different institutions like Padmanava Engineering College, Rourkela and VITS, Hyderabad. His interests are in Micro drilling of aerospace materials. He has authored several publications of research since 2012.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“To impart discipline, increase coordination and ensure the growth of each pupil”

One of the primary roles is to take care of campus discipline. Another role is to increase coordination and ensure the growth of each pupil. We coordinate with the faculties and students in every program on campus. The better transformation of an individual starts from accurate communication.

What are the key factors that connect you with the education sector?

“To provide the best education and impart new opportunities”

Teaching is a noble profession for me. It gives me a chance to build the character development of students. My duty is to provide the best education and impart new opportunities for them. It led to the development of society, nation and environment.

How do you build an industry connection with programs?

”Assist the departments in organizing workshops and provide experts from industries”

Students on campus are taught to be experts at various courses in the IT industry. They are trained in an advanced manner to compete with industry demand. The faculty members use their expertise in solving the problems faced by the industries. It creates opportunities for consultancy. 

What is your leadership philosophy?

“Teamwork and coordination among all individuals lead to success”

Quality determination, coordination and teamwork assist to sustain leadership. My leadership philosophy is teamwork and coordination among all individuals lead to success. We stand together for every matter and win in a united way. The leader carries the trust of followers and enlightens them.

How do you strategize plans for the marketing and administration of campus?

“To create a holistic learning environment and make the students our brand ambassadors”

My role is to believe in the vision and mission of the campus. I serve the duty of work with honesty and hard work. We create a holistic learning environment and make the students as our brand ambassadors. It led to qualitative teaching and they can attain skills, moral values and ethics. This assists to add value to our brand in the market.

What goals do you have in your mind for the department in upcoming years?

“Conduct advanced research, conferences and publish research papers”

One of the goals is to publish high-quality academic research papers. It is necessary to conduct advanced research and conferences. Inter-college exchange programs and courses are mandatory for the progress of campus.

How does the curriculum of the Eastern Academy of Science & Technology ensure industrial practice?

“Industrial visits, internships, talks from experts and seminars are given to students”

The qualitative teaching on campus is linked with industry. We provide a better teaching methodology for the progress of students. They get several approaches to explore the world and improve their knowledge skills. Our campus gives industrial visits, internships, talks from experts and seminars are given to students.

How does the college welcome students of different economic backgrounds?

“Provide uniform practice, teaching and skill training irrespective of economic background”

We did not differentiate among students inside the campus. Our belief is to focus on struggling students and provide industrial training for them. We give uniform practice, teaching and skill training are irrespective of economic background for all students.

I have attended various training programs that improved my skills to deliver a program to the students. Moreover, we organize teacher training programs twice a month. It helps to brush up on the skills of the faculty.
