BSE Odisha Class 10th Exam 2021: Board Releases Alternative Passing Criteria, Check Details Here


May 10, 2021: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has recently announced alternative criteria for BSE Odisha Class 10th Results 2021. 

BSE Odisha Class 10th Exam 2021 result criteria will include students’ performance in the examination which was held in class 9th, along with their practical exam score in Class 10th. 

After giving an appropriate weightage to students, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha will prepare a school-wise merit list, according to which final marks will be allotted to students. 

Earlier, the Board of Secondary Education, BSE Odisha had canceled the BSE Odisha Class 10th Exam 2021 in states due to increasing cases of the coronavirus pandemic. 

BSE Odisha Class 10th Exam 2021: Marking Scheme and Passing Criteria 

As per the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha marking scheme, Students who are in BSE Odisha Class 10th Exam 2021 will now be promoted to the next class based on the following criteria: 

  • For BSE Odisha Class 10th Results 2021 score, students’ overall marks in Class 9 half-yearly, and annual exam will be considered.
  • Students’ performance in the Class 10th practice test will also be considered for the scoring.
  • Out of 100 marks, 40 percent marks will be given to students based on the highest marks secured by the students in their class 9th examination in each subject. 
  • The remaining 60 percent marks will be further allotted to them based on scores secured in the Class 10th practical test.
  • A weightage of 30 percent will be given to the two highest marks secured by the students in their class 10th practical test.

Class 10 Board Exams 2021: What Criteria Will be Used to Determine the Results of the Cancelled Exams?

Additionally, If students have only appeared in one practical examination, then marks for BSE Odisha Class 10th Results 2021 will be given to them based on their class 9th exam scores. 

For students who could not appear for their class 10th practical examination due to any reason, their result will be prepared based on their performance in class 9th half-yearly, and annual exam only.
