Board Exams 2021: On November 27, 2020, Education Minister of India, Ramesh Pokhriyal stated that Board Exams 2021 for Class 10th and 12th, along with competitive examination will be conducted after consultation with students, parents, and faculty members.
As per Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal’s statement, Keeping in mind the coronavirus pandemic and increasing cases of the virus in the country, the Board Exams 2021 will be scheduled on the basis of wider talks with concerned parents, students, and teachers.

He further stated, "Conducting examination is no less than a challenge. Despite the uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is crucial to conduct board examination as well as an entrance examination for admission to higher educational institutions".
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will conduct an interaction in the view of the coronavirus pandemic with teachers, students, and concerned parents, Board Exams 2021 will then be scheduled on the basis of interaction outcome.

On November 26, 2020, a high-level meeting was conducted to discuss the Board Exams 2021 schedule on which the board decided to conduct a wider talk interaction before listing the examination.
Along with Board Exams 2021, competitive examination for admission to various colleges will also be discussed in the interaction. The teacher, students, and parent interaction with the Education Minister are now scheduled to be conducted on December 03, 2020.
Minister stated that a campaign will be launched to seek ideas and concerns of students, parents, and teachers on the conduction of Board Exams 2021 in times of coronavirus.

Schools across the nation were closed for physical classes from March 2020, due to the sudden hit of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state. As a result, the various examinations were conducted through online means to ensure the safety of students and faculty members.
Entrance examinations including JEE and NEET were also postponed due to increasing cases of the virus in the country. Due to this, admission in various colleges was conducted on the basis of merit list release.
