Sainik School Nalanda Admission 2021: Girls to be Admitted from April 2021 Session; Details Here


Sainik School in Nalanda will grant admission to girl candidates from the upcoming session of April 2021. This facility will serve as a novel opportunity for girls in the state of Bihar aspiring to join defence services in future.

The school’s newly upgraded training facilities for girls which will open up opportunities for girls in the army, air force or naval force. It is the only Sainik School in the state to offer such facilities. 

Sainik School, Nalanda has received approval from the Ministry of Defence to grant admission to girls in this school. As a fact, the school can train the girls to join forces.

The school has already begun admission process for girls in the state. Speaking on this, Principal of Sainik School of Nalanda, Col Tamojeet Biswas, asserted, “The state government wanted this kind of facility here and had taken initiative in this direction. The Ministry of Defence was requested to allow the girls also to join military training.”

The girls will be enrolled from the April 2021 session for which the institution has begun all required preparations so that girl cadets can be skillfully trained. He said, “After this training, they may join either navy., army or air force and may make their families and the entire state proud of their achievements.”

As per Col, the Sainik School in Nalanda has been earlier part of the Defence Ministry. He added, “ “It was first set up in the country in 1963 after the Indo- China war. In fact, it was decided to give civilians the facility of military training and it was set up in every state.” 

Sainik School in Nalanda is one of those institutions that offer residential facilities from Standard VI-XII. The present strength of the school is 550 boys who are regularly given military training. However, from the upcoming session of April 2021, girl cadets will also join.
