BHU to Launch PG Course on Hindu Studies at BAK; Check Details Here


Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is set to introduce a PG Course in Hindu Studies at the Bharat Adhyayan Kendra (BAK) from the following session. After a long discussion in a meeting held at BAK on January 11, senior members of the Board of studies BHU approved the proposal to initiate the course.

The Coordinator, Bharat Adhyayan Kendra BHU, Professor Sadashiv Dwivedi confirmed BHU regarding expanding varsity with the MA program in Hindi Studies. Graduates from different fields such as medical science, art, Information technology can apply for the course.

Interested candidates enrolling for admission 2021 must note that the course includes the Sanskrit Language along with side subjects like principles of tatva, religion, and liberation, methods of praman the tradition of dialogue in ancient India, and understanding western discourse, practices of Ramayan, Mahabharat, and Purana.

Professor Dwivedi informed that about one and a half months ago, Bharat Adhyayan Kendra organized the course curriculum of Hindu Studies and sent a proposal to the board of studies for commencing the MA in Hindu studies at BHU.

The primary objective of the course is to focus on deep analysis of Tatva Meemansa (material analysis), Dharm Karm Meemansa (religion and karma), and Praman Meemansa (proof). The course intends for educating scholars on ancient Indian wisdom, including philosophy and languages. 

The course overview was introduced by Professor Sadashiv Dwivedi during the meeting with Dean, Faculty of Arts, BHU Professor VB Singh and followed by Professor Ramnath Jha from JNU, Professor Nachiketa Tiwari from IIT, Kanpur, and many more.
