BHU SET 2021 application form has been released online at the official website: bhuonline.in, on March 1, 2021. Students seeking admission in Classes 6, 9 and 11 at Banaras Hindu University’s Boys and Girls school can apply till March 13, 2021.

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts School Entrance Test, BHU SET every year to offer admission to boys and girls at Central Hindu Boys' School and Central Hindu Girls School, respectively. BHU SET 2021 will be held in offline mode (pen-paper) and appearing candidates have to answer 100 questions in 2 hours.

Interested candidates can apply before March 13, for exams to be conducted June 14-18, 2021 for admission to Classes 6, 9 and 11.

BHU SET 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria as per their Classes for BHU SET 2021: 

• Class 6: 10-12 years age as on September 30, 2021
• Class 9: 13-15 years age as on September 30, 2021
• Class 11: Maximum of 18 Years of age as on September 30, 2021, Passed Class X examination from a recognized Board/University with a minimum percentage of:

• 60% and above marks in Class 10  or equivalent for admission in Science along with 50% marks and above in each, Maths and Science.
• 55% aggregate marks and above in Class 10 or equivalent in Commerce
• Class X passed for Arts 

BHU SET 2021: How to Apply Online?

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for BHU SET 2021 in online mode:

1. Visit the official website of BHU
2. Scroll down the homepage to SCHOOL ENTRANCE TEST (SET) (SESSION: 2021-22) section.
3. Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
4. On the following page, candidates have to register.
5. After registration, use the login credentials to login, fill details in the application.
6. Upload required documents and submit the application form.

BHU SET 2021: Selection Process for Admission

For admission to each class, the merit list will be prepared based on scores obtained in BHU SET 2021. Hence, seats and classes will be offered based on ranks of candidates in the merit list. Class XI candidates will be required to exercise their choice combination immediately on the counselling day.

BHU SET 2021: Documents Required for Application

BHU SET 2021 candidates need to have the following documents in-hand before applying:

• Valid Email ID
• Mobile Number
• Scanned photo of Candidate (Passport size colour photo: 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm and File Size less than 100KB)
• Scanned signature of Candidate & Parent/Guardian Note: Upload Image to be less than 100KB
• Provisions for Credit Card/ATM-cum-Debit Card/ Net Banking/UPI.

BHU SET 2021: Syllabus and Exam Pattern

• Class VI: Question paper will be till Class 5 level including 100 MCQs from English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science and General Science.
• Class IX: Question paper will be till Class 8 level including 100 MCQs from English, Hindi, Mathematics, Social Science and General Science.
• Class XI: Question paper will be till Class 10 level including 100 MCQs 
  • Commerce & Arts Group: English, Hindi, History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, General Maths and Gen. Studies.
  • Maths Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Gen. Studies.
  • Bio Group: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Gen. Studies.
