New Delhi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Department of Computer Science has recently introduced a new specialised training and six-month Certification Programme on Artificial Intelligence. Interested candidates can apply for admissions at textanalytics.in/ai/.
As per BHU, the admission process for a certificate program in AI started on January 12, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the admissions seats by submitting their online application form on or before the given deadline of January 25, 2023.
After the application process, the classes for the academic year are set to start on February 1, 2023, and end in July 2023. Under the BHU Certificate Program in AI, the university is providing a total of 100 seats, and admissions will be based on performance on an entrance exam.
Candidates may take the entrance exam if they have a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. The programme has no course fees, and everyone who successfully completes the course will receive a certificate.

The course curriculum will cover various topics related to Artificial Intelligence, including Introduction to AI and Big Data, Statistical Concepts and Applications, Statistical Tools, Importing and Preprocessing Data, Exploring and Manipulating Data, Data Structures and Algorithms.
In addition to this, it will include Graph and String Algorithms, Artificial Neural Networks, Programming for Data Science, Programming in Python, Creating Visualizations, Managerial Skills, Organizational Behavior, and Persuasive Communication among other topics.
Students who successfully complete an artificial intelligence certification programme at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) may go on to work as data scientists and applied scientists in the field of artificial intelligence.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, is supporting the Department of Computer Science at BHU in running this certification programme. For more details about the certification program, candidates can visit the official website of BHU at bhu.ac.in.
