Bennett University is launching a Liberal Arts programme from 2020 onwards. The programme will be three years long and will allow students to pace their own learning. The programme will also give them an opportunity to do an extra year and pursue a postgraduate diploma in their preferred field after completing their degree.
The programme will allow students to develop in a holistic manner. Students need not choose their major at the time of admission. Instead, they will have one year to explore their area of interest. They can select their major as late as the second year.
In the second year, they will have ten fields to choose from. These are Psychology, Philosophy, Business Studies, Marketing, Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Economics, Political Science, English Literature and Finance.
Each Major will have a specialized range of Electives, which have been specially picked to help students enrich their knowledge and explore uncharted territory.
Moreover, the students are exposed to a variety of Foundation courses to develop oral, writing, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The Bennett University programme is not limited to the classroom. The students will earn credits for playing sports and going to the gym. To challenge mindsets, they will get to read and discuss classics and bestsellers. They will also get an opportunity to meet and interact with noted people from the media and the industry.
Bennett University is the only university in India whose Liberal Arts programme include Majors in Finance, Business Studies and Marketing. These courses will provide students with leadership skills and expedite their ascent in the corporate world.
