Arunachal Pradesh Schools Reopening: Arunachal Pradesh schools have finally reopened for students of classes 8th, 9th, and 11th from January 04, 2021, following all the COVID-19 SOPs and protocols, after more than 9 months of imposed shutdown.
Schools in states had requested the students and parents to follow social distancing, wear masks, and wash hands frequently, and strictly follow other advisories and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the state government owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Education Minister Taba Tedir stated that parents were very cordial regarding sending their children to schools, while students are too happy to rejoin offline classes after a long period of time. Additionally, Arunachal Pradesh colleges would also reopen from January 05, 2021.
The State Minister stated that they are constantly in touch with the health department and if they find the conditions feasible, they might resume the classes for other students too. However, residential schools and hostels are still closed until further notice release by the authorities.
Earlier, Classes had resumed for students of standard 10 and 12 from November 16 itself. The students had to mandatorily wear tricolor khadi masks after the Arunachal Pradesh schools reopened.
The government had accorded approval for the procurement of 60,000 khadi cotton face masks from KVIC for the school students. Officials informed that the khadi masks are double layered and the tricolor is to instill a sense of patriotism in the minds of students.
