Allahabad University Suspends 4 UG Courses; Launches Five Year Integrated Program; Read Details Here

Allahabad University has suspended four undergraduate courses this year and has decided to introduce two new five-year integrated programmes for the academic session 2021-22. 

As sources claim, University of Allahabad has taken the decision to discontinue some of the undergraduate courses under the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), due to lack of interest among students. A senior official from Allahabad University notified that the decision to suspend four courses was taken as there were less enrolments every year. 

Further, he said that until last year, there were 13 courses under the IPS, but this year, the number has been reduced to 11 under this department. Allahabad University Admission 2021 has already commenced in online mode for various undergraduate courses. 

Moreover, the university has renamed B.Voc in Media Studies to B.Voc. in Media Production and has stopped conducting admissions process for courses like Diploma in Fashion Design, B.Voc. in Fashion Design and Technology, M.Voc. in Fashion Design and Technology and MSc Nutrition Science. However, the students who are already pursuing these courses at AU will receive their graduation degrees. 

Allahabad University Admission 2021 

Allahabad University is conducting online AU Admission 2021 for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses under different departments. The last date to submit application forms and pay fees is October 3, 2021.

Under the IPS Department, the university has invited candidates to apply for AU Courses such as BA in Media Studies, BVoc in Media Production, BA in Fashion Design and Technology, Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), B.Voc. in Food Processing and Technology, MSc Food Technology, M.Voc. in Media Studies, Master of Computer Application (MCA), PG Diploma in Computer Application (PDDCA). 

For admission to UG courses, students need to qualify Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) 2021. The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for UGAT is Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board.

Further, the students are also invited to apply for two five-year integrated programmes, one in Food Technology, second Integrated BCA-MCA in Data Science Course.
