Students will be able to develop employable skills and aptitude for placement on a single platform from anywhere in India thanks to the partnership. Learners will be able to access quality education pedagogy at their leisure.
The scheme will be provided free of charge to selected students from the economically disadvantaged sections of society. The scholarship initiative was launched in order to make quality education available to all segments of society. The information provided by educational institutes on the NEAT Portal will be used to allocate free seats. The portal will initially be launched as a pilot phase only in AICTE-approved government colleges in India.
CareerLabs' mission is to help college students and working professionals discover their career paths and prepare for life after college on a large scale and at a low cost. The startup, founded by an ex-BYJU leadership team, has built a technology-enabled platform with a career track recommendation engine called career wizard.
Career Tracks in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Managerial, Creative, and Interdisciplinary domains are available through the startup. These are industry-sourced, with practical learning and capstone projects validated by industry mentors, ensuring a high course completion rate. This eventually leads to students getting better jobs in their preferred fields.
Santosh P N, Co-founder of CareerLabs, commented on the announcement, saying, "Profile development is not only important for making the right career choice, but it also plays an important role in achieving consistent and significant professional growth. Our collaboration with AICTE will enable lakhs of students to receive high-quality education, bringing CareerLabs closer to its mission of assisting millions of people to learn and earn more, even in Tier 2/3 cities. Using advanced technology on our platform, we hope to provide industry insights to young professionals. Our courses will emphasise the Prime Minister's Atmanirbhar Bharat and drive students towards their dream careers, with a focus on upskilling."
