AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has decided to extend the admission deadline for engineering courses till December 31, 2020.
An official notice was circulated in which the AICTE council has provided details about the extension of the admission deadline for engineering courses. The deadline has only been extended for places where the admission and counselling had not begun due to delayed CET.

This decision was made by the AICTE council after many requests from the state governments across the nation.
The BUCTU (Bombay University and College Teachers’ Union) had requested the vice-chancellor of Mumbai University (MU) to extend the dates for first-year degree college exams. The college teachers have suggested that the first-year examinations should be extended to the end of January 2021.

Prior to this, the organization has claimed that many colleges were not able to teach for the compulsory 90 days period before the exams, because of which it is impossible to hold the exams in the month of December.
In the time being, MU (Mumbai University) has already released the result of around 9,000 M.Com. students and the final-year BA & B.Com. students of the Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL).
According to the latest updates, around 9,000 students had appeared for the final-year M.Com. examinations from the university and its affiliated colleges and the reports say that 95% of students have passed the examination.
