11 Medical Colleges Secures Affiliation to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Check Details Here


Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University provides affiliation to a total of 11 medical colleges by offering the letter of consent. Among these medical colleges, there are a total of 9 government and 2 private colleges. 

Proposals have also been gathered from 30 nursing and paramedical colleges of the UP state, on which work is still ongoing at a quick pace.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the concerned authorities to complete the work of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University in a specific time so that affiliation to other medical colleges of UP can also be considered. Along with this, the students facilities will also improve.

In the first phase of the ABVMU, other medical colleges will be offered affiliation. The second phase will include admissions to the students. Its draft has been created by the institute and concerned authorities.

ABVMU is being established on 50 acres of land in Chak Ganjaria, capital Lucknow and its construction work will be finished by the end of 2021. An academic block will also be built on 20 acres of land in this university at a cost of about INR 200 crores. 

Vice-Chancellor Dr AK Singh stated that a grand auditorium will be set up on the campus, in which 2,500 people can be present at time. The university is also planning to provide accommodation for Vice Chancellors, doctors, officers, and other employees on the campus.

With the launch of Atal Medical University, the path of affiliation of medical colleges, paramedical colleges, dental, and nursing colleges will be smooth. 

This university will work in the area of Affiliation, Assessment, Admission, Enrollment for all medical courses. 

After receiving a letter of consent for 11 medical colleges, the varsity has put a step ahead towards getting affiliation under the new medical university.

Over 60 Government and private medical colleges and nursing and paramedical institutes will come under one university once the new medical university is fully-set up.
