Ques. Is it necessary to do BTech Robotics Engineering to build a career in Robotics?

Ans. No, it is not necessary. Robotics is an interdisciplinary course and it requires knowledge in more than one area of engineering. So the candidates who hold UG degrees in mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, design engineering, computer science engineering, and machine learning & AI are also eligible to build a career in robotics. But it would be beneficial if they pursue a PG Diploma or a master’s degree in robotics.

Ques. Is there any demand for robotics engineers?

Ans. According to the US Bureau of Labour Statistics, the robotics market will show 9% job market growth from 2016 - 2026. It is expected to add about 25,300 jobs over the forecast period.

Ques. What are the top companies that hire robotic engineers?

Ans. The companies like TATA, BHEL, BARC, DiFACTO Robotics and Automation, NASA, Tech Mahindra Ltd, Kuka Robotics, ISRO, etc. hire robotic engineers.

Ques. Does Robotics need coding?

Ans. Yes, robotics do need coding. The robotic students are usually taught about the applied algorithm and AI, which will also involve the study of some of the programming languages. Also, to make the robot do the desired function, it needs to be programmed.

Ques. Is robotics engineering a good career?

Ans. The manufacturing industries are being automated so that production could be increased to fulfill the demand of the increasing population. Humans are not capable of working for 24 hours a day but robots can. Therefore robots are highly efficient. Robots are currents used in the manufacturing plants, laboratories, medical fields, mining, automation sector, aerospace engineering, agriculture, etc. The demand for robots is increasing and thus robotic engineering is a good career to start with.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the Robotics branch as I am very into this subject from my school and have a deep interest plus it has a great scope in the current scenario as well has in future. Faculty are good with decent teaching experience and all teachers are highly qualified most of them had PhD. They are very supportive and know how to deal with students' doubts. There are 2 midterm exams and a final exam with practicals. An additional mid-term may conduct for the students who didn't appear for previous midterms because of a valid reason. Paper is moderate and students can even score well if they only pay attention in classes. All exams are conducted timely according to the academic calendar issue every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As per the experts, AI is advancing and in the future, most job opportunities will be there. Also, we can see robots are important things in the future so this was the reason I had chosen this course. The faculty-student ratio at MITS is good, for every 5 students, there is a mentor. That means the ratio is 5:1. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders, well experts in teaching. Some have a degree of well Known institutes like IITs, and NITs. Faculties are friendly and solve your doubts whenever you ask. The way of teaching is learner-friendly. Professor uses a smart board whenever needed. There are two midterm exams and one end term each semester. The level of the exam is moderate. To pass the exam it is not so difficult as your marks are added to daily online quizzes. By following this way you can score pretty good marks.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:

The fee structure of MITS is not good. It is too costly even if it is a government college. They that a huge amount from you in name of development fee. The total cost in the first year is Rs. 1,25,000/- per annum only for the college fees. The hostel Fee is also a too costly total of Rs. 1,05,000/. The hostel is only for 1st year from next year you have to stay in PG. If you belong to SC, ST, or OBC then you can avail of the scholarship. Some more scholarships like Mptaas are given by the government. You can also avail media scholarship if your rank in JEE mains is less than 1,50,000 and you have scored a percentage more than 85 in 12th if you are from CBSE and more than 75 if you are from MP BOARD.
