Course Curriculum:

My course is designed in two ways, one is a course-based option and the other one is a course +project-based option. To graduate, one has to finish 30 credits (10 courses or 8 courses + 2 projects). Both of the options are good on their own. As for project-based, you will be working with industry and doing a project on the problem that they are facing or the solution that they need, so by doing this you will get a chance to make a relationship with them, which later on will be helpful for a full job position. As far as the courses is concerned, all the courses are designed in such a way that you will get not only theoretical knowledge but also practical knowledge too. Unlike writing theoretical exams, almost all the courses involve projects, assignments, and reflection papers.

Course Curriculum:

1. My credit was 30 for my course at McMaster University - Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering was 1.5 years with a total of 8 Theory-based and 1 Project-based. But you can opt out or in from the project. If you do only Theory then you need to have 10 theories. But having said that this may alter. 2. At McMaster Uni - you have the opportunity to choose the course you like, as I selected most software-related courses since I had 7 years of work experience in IT and after studying I got a job in the IT field as well. 3. Didn't get a chance to attend more personal classes due to COVID

Fees:

1. I paid the first term's fees before applying for the study visa via Western Union online transfer. 2. 2nd & 3rd term fees paid via wire transfer. To send a wire transfer you can ask to Admin office to give you the University's wire transfer details.

Course Curriculum:

The faculty in this program are some of the most supportive and kind people I have ever met. They are very willing to answer questions and engage you in various research projects. The ratio can range from 1:40+ to 1:10 depending on the popularity of the class. The faculty are global experts in their field and are renowned researchers who care deeply about advancing the study of health and research methods. It is an honour and a privilege to learn from them.

Fees:

The total tuition for this program is $7008 annually. A course-based stream can usually be completed in 1 year. A thesis-based stream can be completed in 2 years. International applicants may apply to a number of scholarships available on the School of Graduate Studies website. I highly recommend checking early and keeping track of deadlines as applications are done via Mosaic (the administrative system used at McMaster) and are easy to miss.

I like the faculty and their trial to give in-depth knowledge to the students. I am a teaching assistant for my department. I teach undergraduate 4th and 3rd-year students. I know how the process is in teaching the students and I like the materials and procedures they follow to make students understand the concept.

Fees:

The tuition fee for an international student was $18,000 per year. For masters at McMaster, it's usually 3 semesters in a year and is four 6 semesters in total. My fee was $36,000 for two years. I got a teaching assistantship of $17,000 for two years and a graduate scholarship of $3,500 and an international excellence award of $5000 for two years. A total of $25,500 was obtained from the university. There was a deduction of taxes for TA money. I have taken a loan from a private bank in India of $20,000 for my living expenses and also to cover my other fees.

Course Curriculum:

Very interesting material, I enjoy the content that each course has to offer. Ultimately, I would say it is nicely structured where you can sample the different strands of business to see what you enjoy the most.

Fees:

The fees are roughly 5-8k per semester for the Commerce program. There are other charges such as a Dental Plan which you can opt out of if you don't want it. They also have a fee for the bus pass included in your fees but ultimately is a valuable asset because if you use the bus often it makes up for it.

Course Curriculum:

The curriculum improved since I started. We had to take computer science in the first year which was not a helpful course but they took it out now. We didn't take any accounting courses in the first year which was not helpful at all.

Fees:

The fee for each course was basically the same. There were additional charges in our tuition for extra things we don't necessarily use like all the clubs but good for all students.

Course Curriculum:

I find that since the first year is a general year, the curriculum gives a sufficient taste of the tools one would need for each specialization, having a materials course specified for materials engineering, a programming course specified for learning how to program, etc. As a result, it is very good at introducing the student to the different aspects of engineering but may at times feel too general and unspecialized for people who know what stream they would like to move into in the following year.

Fees:

The student fees that are paid can be found on McMaster's student hub "Mosaic", and contain the specifics of the allocation of tuition, which include student society and club fees, various student services fees, course fees, and faculty fees. Some of these services, such as dental, can be opted-out from.
